Pro Nav Map 2017-1 available

I am just downloading the 2017-1 map from here http://www.bmwfsc.ca/map-data/

It takes forever to appear on the BMW site!!

Which is the right 2017 one to download? MOVE or NEXT? (and what's the difference?)

It depends on whether you have business or pro nav. NEXT is for Pro.

Depends on the model year as well, look at the version you have in the car and it will say NEXT or MOVE.

That's a pain.

It is the first time I have used that particular site, previously I downloaded it from here:- http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthre...&highlight=fsc

At the moment it is still showing 2016-2 though.

I've used this site before and now it DOES work. First one I've done since upgrading to Windows 10 so needed to upgrade WinRAR too.

Now installing in car...

Blast!! It will not fit onto a 32gb USB drive anymore?

I had that problem last time and had to get a 64Gb drive. The 2017-1 map has been downloaded, FSC generated and ready to install in the morning. Although I'm tempted to go and try it now!!

Do you still buy the FSC code off someone dodgy on the Internet or is there an alternative way of getting hold of one? My car is less than two years old so will my car allow an update because of that?

Is there a tool to upgrade the maps in the car's iDrive system then? I need to take a look into this since I am running late 2014 maps and there have been a lot of road changes where I live that completed early 2015.

You will need a FSC code I guess as it is only Sep'15 onwards that have a 3 year code.

The update feature is built into the Navigation option and will recognise the update USB.

OK I have had Automatic updates on my previous cars so I am new to this USB lark.
Can someone tell/guide me to the software I need to install on my MAC to enable these downloads and how can I do this?
Thanks in advance, I have a spare 8Gig USB to format.

Well you will need a 64gb for the maps!!

Do you understand torrents and have a program on your Mac to handle them?

If you do then just go the web site and click on NEXT 2017-1 to start the download.

You will then need a program to decompress the Zipped files.

I presume as the programs are recommended then they should be OK?

I am a Win does user so cannot help with Mac programs.

This is the best way for you, as the official BMW site only supports Windows and the files will not be there for a few weeks/months anyway.
