Black Performance Grill?

Having a difficult time deciding on whether or not to change the grill. Window trim and exhaust tips are gloss black on the M sport and the current grill imo looks out of place with so much silver. The 550i grill has a chrome surround and slats with a chrome front and silver sides. First picture shows the stock grill. The second pic is of the alternate f10 grill which comes on all models other than 550i.

Which grill will look best?

BTW: Many M Sport haters on bimmerfest. Different demographic?

Same dilemma here.......

I´m thinking of repainting my OEM grill ( like I did on my M3 ) in gloss black with chrome front on the slats.

I say go with the black grill. Looks much more aggressive which vibes better with m sport package. As for bimmerfest I think it's an older crowd so the understated and conservative look of the non m goes over better. I'm 26 I want my 550i msport to look as mean as possible!

Go for black grill, your car is so brutal so it will fit perfect :-)

I never knew the 550 came all chrome like that. I have a bias opinion so I prefer the gloss black because it flows with the rest of your car. If I was to keep it OEM I would go with the 2nd picture though

Your car is looking incredible! BMW is offering an OEM black grill now. I think the black looks superb on your car because of the contrast and its gives it an even more aggressive look. Not sure if it will do much on a dark graphite car.

For the life of me I cannot seem to remove my original grills to change to the performance ones, I have looked at DIY and followed instructions but still can't get my hand down to release the clips - is there another method that peeps have used? should I just pull very hard!!??

Ended up ordering the performance grill. Not all that expensive of a mod and should be more durable than the painted ones. Anyone have a pic of graphite with a black grill?

Your dealer should have them, they are a BMW part.

Have the Shadowline Grilles on my Carbon Black 550, get comments all the time how it makes the front end look even more aggressive then its natural stance. Happy with them.

I have a bias opinion so I prefer the gloss black because it flows with the rest of your car. If I was to keep it OEM I would go with the 2nd picture though
