Exclamation Replacing the gear knob

Hi there

Has anyone managed to remove the stock gearknob on a manual F10? I tried earlier on and really struggled...

Is it really a case of brute force to get it off, or is there a knack to it?

Thanks,

Ash

Ok just managed to do this! There *is* a knack - you need to put it in 2nd gear after clipping the gaitor out and then just pull upwards for glory!

Job's a good 'un. :-)

I didn't know there were replacement gear knobs for the manual stick shift. Do you have pictures of the options you are looking at?
