The manual says contact dealer (and part company with loads of cash), but I agree that there must be a way to do the job yourself. All this technology is great, but it gets a bit silly when it precludes DIY bulb replacement.

Have yours blown already?
I don't know which cover to remove in order to gain access, but think they're H8 LED's which are supposed to have a very long service life.

I can't imagine anything brighter than the standard bulbs. My F10 is September build and it has the pure white LED angel eyes.

Do you want to incinerate the eyes of oncoming drivers?

If the angel eyes were any brighter in this car you wouldn't need headlamps.

I actually want to *DIM* the angel eyes to look more like all of the other BMW models.

Yea I would say about 60 percent of the time. They look the best when the sun is setting. wow that is ridiculous 3 points and fine is harsh.

They might look good to you, but they don't to oncoming motorists and I imagine that they're not overly impressed with how flash your car looks.
That's why we have that particular Highway Code ruling in the UK and it's one of the more sensible ones. It's equally applicable to the rear fog lights, which some idiots switch on when it's a crystal clear night, presumably out of malice or stupidity. Either way, it's dangerous as it's highly distracting to other road users.
Sorry if you're offended by my response, but please don't take that as an apology for my message.

Its really not that bright at all. There the same brightness or maybe less then xenon fogs. I get no reaction to on coming traffic. If your talking about the bluish tint that's because there warming up. It is day and night compared to halogen fog lights and looks 100 times better. I do get a lot of complements on how they look. As far as putting them on during the day, I agree with you people are stupid. ....and no I am not offended by your response. we live in different areas with different codes.

His request has nothing to do with Xenons headlights. He is looking to brighten the rings more.

Hey, there is also a new xenon bulb (made by Osram) which is 20% brighter than stock and it's 5000K. This is the same bulb being used in the Mercedes December 2010 production (onwards)

Yes looking to upgrade from that yellowish look that the halogen bulbs give off. I am just looking for information on where the AE bulb is located on the headlamp. The f10 headlight is a lot more complex then the previous models.

Thanksss
