Hi, just pick up a f10 & been reading a lot of great posts. I"ll been using focal for awhile & love it. But now I see a lot of you are using Bavaudio because of plug & play! But which one sounds better? It's focal worth that price? You could buy the whole set of Bavaudio incl. woofers. & a bimmertech amp for the same price of focal speaker & woofer only? (Just have a std. Stereo)

Its a give or take. From what I've read the people with the Bav's are happy and they feel an overall improvement over the stock speakers. Im still not set on these as I think you're paying for the plug and play feature since a lot of people lease their cars. I'm an audio enthusiast so I love music! I currently run the K2 power Focals in my other cars and I love them! But to switch things up I've been doing some research on the Gladen Extremes and Jehnerts!

Thanks, I'm just like you I'm a music lover too! And I care about the sound a lot! I too had the k2 on my mini & just sold it. I see someone had to do some mod. on the focal to fit on the rear.

For the Focals they so have fitments for the front but the rears have to be modded. Did you see the thread on that? There's 2 of them. One for the front and the other for the rear.

honestly you don't need all 16 speakers! i would just invest in the front doors and tweets and the underneath 8" woofer. leave the rears as fills and disconnect the front dash speaker! when it's time probably around April i'll be pulling the trigger on the Gladen Extremes and pair it with Nelson's Bimmertech Amp and if the bass isn't enough, than i'll start with some 12's in the trunk!

Agree! You don't need 16 speakers! All you really need is your main front & rear & a sub. Unless you are using as surround sound. I'm sure the premium sound use the same spearkers as std., just added more spearkers (I may be wrong)

you are correct as the fronts are more of your main presence for stage speakers and the rears can just be used as fills...doesn't hurt to upgrade the rears later. instead of spending money for every speaker just invest in higher end or quality fronts speakers.

upgrade the center, front doors, and underseat subs, and pp82dsp is all you need for quality upgrade. We have two f10's, one with HK, the other without. Upgraded system sounds crisp, and louder than HK with focals installed for front stage.

didn't you recommend CDT's or something for the center speaker paul223? i remember seeing that somewhere. i'm trying to keep everything timber matched with Gladen's

I did that, but I found a single matching focal krs 100 for $90 , so I switched. Now Doors and center are Focal krs 100.

There's a reason why companies like Gladen and Jehnerts don't offer center channel upgrade, you don't need it. If you insist on upgrading them i would go with a bmw individual speaker which is like $100.

The Nelson! Order my amp! Should be here by Monday. Still going to think about which spearkers before I but it! My sub will be 2 JL w6 10 in. W/ JL hd1200 running it. My old system. Then I done with my stereo!
