M Sport brakes? Question about F10 compact spare tire / M-Sport package

Hi all, have a question that I hope you can help me with.

I have a 2014 F10 535i X-Drive with M-Sport package. I've finally decided to get rid of the run flats and put a set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3's on there. I'm looking at compact spare options (I don't need a jack / tool kit etc)

I read this thread, which has a few ideas:
http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=572630

and it looks like Bimmerzone has n aftermarket steelie kit for $300 w/o jack:
http://www.bimmerzone.com/product/BIM-SST-F10-KIT.html

BavAuto sells an OEM kit for $300:
https://www.bavauto.com/b36000179

The BavAuto kit contains wheel # 36-11-6-796-144 which according to realoem.com does not fit cars with M Sport Brakes.

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...49#36116796144

I called BavAuto and gave them my VIN--they told me my car doesn't have M Sport brakes and this will fit. So I guess my question is--do I believe that?

What exactly are the M-sport brakes? They are not included with M Sport package? If so, is there an option code to verify that I don't have them?

Thanks all!

Hhmmm...I purchased the kit from BavAuto over a year ago. Never did I notice that the spare would not fit onto "M Sport Brakes"; come to think of it, I don't even know if I opted for "M Sport Brakes".

I've never needed to use my spare yet. Now you've got me wondering if I should check.
I'm sitting pretty low on coilovers now, not sure if fitment of the spare will be an issue though.

FWIW, ECS mentions the same thing... Although no one can tell me what exactly the M Sport brakes are.

That would be super helpful.

My assumption:
It is not relevant to the F10.
I know the F30 and others have M-sport brakes like below. Since the Spare isn't an F10 specific item it is a general warning for the other folks that may have the option on their chassis.

I installed Michelin PS A/S 3+ on my 2011 F10 535iX. I am very happy with them. I don't have M-sport package.
I got a E60 spare. I have to add a 12mm wheel spacer(with longer bolts) to clear the caliper.
Here is how I carry the spear.

Garage List
All 535s have the same brakes, M-Sport or not.

There were no brake options on F10s.
