I believe if you VO code KOMBI, you should be back in business. Of course, any of your FDL coding changes will be wiped out and you would have to re-code those changes.

That's right. The car is "bricked". He'll have to take in to the dealer. Same thing happened to some friends of mine.

I tell you...that Esys would be more welcoming if that darn button is not available. I would play around more with coding then.

new version of the e-sys launcher from tokenmaster has the button text saying never click this or something like that so you don't click on the button.

Are you under warranty?

If you know what you’re doing, inject CAFD and VO Code Kombi ECU. That will fix the problem.

I doubt a dealer will fix for free what the owner mucked up themselves. Warranty is for manufacturing defects.

Also, check the bimmerfest coding forum and seek out ShawnSheridan or Almaretto.

Dealer will fix it if it’s under warranty. I’ve seen it done before, come up with some excuse that you woke up and the car isn’t working right. They’ll easily determine its a software issue and reflash the car.

Or OP could do what I suggested in the previous post and be back to normal. Which is essentially the process in ESYS to reflash the ECU he coded default values to.
