So, I notice...

The seats are different. These multi-contour seats have a different extendable thigh support. In the current version, the thigh support is trapezoidal, and the side bolsters on the bottom cushion don't extend to the front of the seat. In this version, it is more like the M5...they extend all the way to the front and the thigh extension is rectangular. They also have side bolsters. Are these European sport seats?

Do not like the chrome tidbits, but do like the front intake.

Finally, an MSport wheel!!!!!!!!!

I see the full digital instruments. Wonder how they will be packaged.

Cup holders revised....thank goodness. Current ones drive me nuts.

Deeper center console? Doesn't look it.

Don't like the move of signals to the mirrors...in the F30 they are blinding at night. Plus, since they didn't want to change the fender stamping, they kept the cutout and just left it as a "model" badge? UGH.

Is it me or do the headlight eyebrows look lit? Or is that just because of the LED main beams?

Overall, successful, I think. But doesn't make the pre-LCI cars look dated at all.

Scott, any word on when the US order guide will be out?

As much as I'm a BMW fan.
After seeing the new E class the next gen 5 series has a lot of catching up to do design wise.

This LCI update makes the car look very pedestrian

Next to what E class? The 14' facelift? If so, its really not all that new.

Makes it look more pedestrian? How? Its the same car, with a slightly more aggressive (finished looking) front end.

Disagree with you.

I think the overall design of the W212 is nice, but the details ruin the design and the facelift does it no favours. First the front fascia does not suit the sedan, it fits more with the sport-like character of the coupe. Second are the taillights. I didn't like the pre-facelift taillights but they were better than what Mercedes has on now.

Compare that with the 5-Series. First, the F10 5-Series is just a handsome car and the LCI does a lot to make it even better even if they did little. Squared-off headlights? Double-Slatted grille? Much more defined taillights? The only thing I don't like are the finisher rods, they look awkward but other than that, I still have the 5-Series at the top in this segment in terms of exterior design.

That looks soooo ghetto. I understand the need to maximize profits, but approach it from the top down by increasing revenue, not by nickel and diming the production process with terrible shortcuts like this.

Wow.

The Nav along with HUD, BMW Apps and Smartphone integration was standard on the 2013 GT but the 2014 price is still increased $2K. That would be for the cup-holders, standard Nappa, new instrument display and new butt.

Was the air suspension standard on the 2013 GTs?

The XF is pretty swanky, but when I look at it, I see a lot of Volvo S80.

a6? Booooooring. Seriously, even the S6 is a snoozefest. Even my wife thinks its boring, and that's saying something.

The seats on pics 47 to 49 looks like the new euro sport seats.

Very tasteless. Will the M Sports ACTUALLY say "M Sport" on the sides? Just seems too much.

That would be horrid as they do seriously look like halogens on the LCI, however I know BMW would never do that.

I know that's your opinion.... but you must be joking. The E Class was the most horrible facelift I've seen in a long time. The front looks like a bad Photoshop joke. There's no flow to the car, they disjointed it by grafting on elements that look to be from another car onto the rigid angular frame.

M-B has all but ADMITTED the E Class is a tremendously flawed design as they had to do an absurdly about-face facelift. BMW has done something remarkable with this facelift: They said "We designed 'PERFECTION' which means it's impossible to truly improve on, but we did anyway, and we would never alter or mess with perfection". The facelift of the E and 5 speak volumes from the design team as to how highly they regard their cars. Clearly the E gets no regard while the 5 gets the highest honor. To note: I came from 3 straight E Classes, the last two being a 2010 and 2011.

I love this facelift as it preserves the dignity and grace of the original design, which is the opposite of what Mercedes did to the E when they basically slapped the original version in the face (and IMO its owners who entrusted Mercedes to design something that would remain timeless during at least its own production run). The F10 I'm certain will be an extremely timeless design, and this facelift further ensures that.
