Will the US 5-series have the option to add the Full LCD Gauges like other international markets?

Ask your dealer for Option 6WB. This has been round in the UK/Euro market for over 9 months now… so I guess the US would have caught up now.

Rear lights in the new version are step backwards, that is saying it before seeing them in person.

Good comparison photo!

Really like the facelift, subtle but def. refined design.

Wasn't the digital instrument panel supposed to be standard with the LCI?

The dealer is not seeing it under options, nor am I in the order guide that they released a few days ago. So to be clear, there are three types of gauge clusters available on the F10. The standard (boring) one, then the two upgrades are the extended cluster with additional info on the bottom (seen this on US F10 cars), and then the MFID which is option code 6WB which is the all digital LCD gauge which has been available in Europe/Asia for quite some time now. I highly doubt that they have made this standard, it costs more in other markets and many dont like the all digital screen and would prefer the regular one.

Does this mean we are not getting this as an option in the US for 2014?

I have not seen 6WB in the order sheet. May not be there for MY 14. However I may be wrong.

Chrome looks so out of place. Looks like the cheap dealer add-ons for a Honda Civic.

Happy the LCI is so minimal.

Hands down the worst money saving decision was to keep the front fender turn signal chrome surround and cap it with a model line designation badge "luxury" or "modern". In pre-LCI, it's a useful design element as it houses the turn signal, but to keep the chrome piece on the fender when they moved the actual signal lights to the mirrors?!

Those chrome "Luxury", "Modern" and (presumably, I didn't spend more time to check) "Sport" badges on the front fenders are hideous. Reminds me of "old" Detroit at its finest (sarcasm), not BMW...

Weel the only item that attacts my attention is the adaptive LED headlights. Those look to be a very good option to go for.
I don't like teh chrome around the sat nav screen (what is it with chrome nowadays, is it making a comeback?!)
The otehr styling changes I don't see as necessary. I currently own a pre LCI 5 series so accept I might be a bit bias in my views ......

the LED headlights (and slope towards the kidney) do seem like the only desirable cosmetic upgrade over the LCI.

If it was coming to North America for '14, I think it would have been mentioned in the press release and/or indicated in the order guide. It's in neither place. As a matter of fact, 6WA is still optional as part of one of the packages, so I think we're still SOL for 6WB.

According to the BMW released video, the 5 GT gets paddle shifters in the Luxury and Modern lines apparently in 255 Sport Leather Steering wheel.
