Time to ask for the regional rep to step in...or, time for invoking the lemon law. Are you always going to the same shop? Is there any way you can ask them to verify when it was calibrated?

Failed emissions
Thanks for the reply. I took it to three different state emissions testing places. I even took it to the head inspector and he said that BMW should fix the car. BMW says no issues with the car. They said I need to drive cycle the car then take it back in.

Emissions
The BMW dealer did reprogram the car but that only reset one of the emission error messages. Apparently there are two error messages, something about memory or lack there of. For 70k I am very disappointed to say the least. I can't even register the car without smog. If you check the car there are no engine lights or codes present. Really weird.

I would breathe fire at the dealer. This dealer should be reprimanded.
There is no excuse for the dealer failing to intervene. Name the dealer and give his email address and we will all explain how wrong this dealer is to him directly. You are dealing with a fundamental warranty issue and if they can't get it to pass tell them to buy it back. |
