Activated Rear Fog Lights

I installed the Euro spec headlight switch in my F10 today. This is the switch that ships in non-US cars and has the second button to turn on the rear fog lights. The bulbs are already in all US cars but they only come on in emergency braking. In other countries the driver can turn them on and off to use them in poor visibility conditions. Basically they are like high beams for your tail lights. I guess they don't trust us USA driver not to blast these high beams at tailgaters

Here is a pic of the dashboard indicator, and also make a video/slideshow of the install.

Hang on...... You guys don't get rear fog lights as standard?!?!?!?!

They have been mandatory on all cars here since 1980!

Nope. We can all have all the weapons we want, but no rear fog lights

I bought mine from a Swedish junkyard website. It costed me $124 including shipping. Interestingly the part came with the trim around it.

Spend a bit of time behind Audis, Saabs and Volvos in the northeast. Beautiful, bright nights following cars with blinding rear fogs illuminated. Sad? Yup. Funny? Yup. Do Americans know what to do with rear fog lights? Nope!

How did you come up with that conclusion? There should be no difference.
