Making ambient door lights brighter

No idea if anyone has tried this but I was wondering if you can make the ambient lights in the exterior door handles brighter. I have a F11 with ambient lights and love the bright white LED door handle lights. When I look at the cap that covers the led, it seems that there is room for 2 led's, which would leave one slot unoccupied which could be filled with another led, hence making it brighter? Anyone tried popping off the cap and do some mc gyvering on this? thanks for your feedback.

PS I am also going for the weisslicht door ligths that illuminate the doors at the bottom, to make these brighter as well. I am leaving the interior lighting OEM.

For me they a feature for winter times, they looks great when dark, summer times coming here in Ireland they have minimum effect due to day light lasting up to 11pm and beyond.
In fact I thought they did not work as they had to due to that, until the dealer told me the only way via the dashboard brightness scroll wheel and it was more to do with lack of darkness.
So your only option is the dash board contrast set to maxim brightness.
