So it's give and take, you loose a bit of comfort driving on imperfect roads. But you get more comfort for cornering. You make the call.

In case you dare to experiment ( I don't ), use m sport spring only to lower the car by 10mm. This gives the best balance. You can see here for car with complete m sport suspension: http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthre...=507779&page=4 If you did this, I'm dying to know how it feel. Here are the part number for m sport 528i springs: front 31336795428 and rear spring 33536795436. |

fC8, I noticed you are from Hongkong. I've been there regularly (mostly Hongkong side). Eventhough the road is not as nice as Singapore, I think you can pull 20" lowered and still get "acceptable" comfort. Lower profile tires only gives you problem running over bumps and road irregularities, I don't see that much in Hongkong. Or have I been to the wrong sides of the town all this time?

But it's very subjective. You make you own call. Someone may say we are just trash talking.

@remmib > No, I asked MORR directly. Maybe Lacster can gives us more info on that show wheels.
Edit: Yes, that VS8.2 are the wheels I'm referring to about the offsets. Last edited by pyramid; 06-24-2011 at 11:28 AM.. |

I would love to try the M suspension on my 528i, but I don't think I can do that at this moment. I m currently driving a 135i, and my wife keeps complaining the car is too bouncy since she is pregnant, and that's why I gota sell it and buy a larger and comfort car 528i. I worry if I lower it by M suspension, and it will become same as the 135i's suspension setting, and if my wife notices, I will die.....!
But if it doesn't affect much on it's comfort, I definitely will put on the M suspension. Now, I can only focus on improving the car's outlooking, rather than any performance issue lead a trade off of its comfort. BTW, I think HK's road condition ain't bad, I enjoy driving my 135i anywhere in HK. But my wife (and my baby) doesn't agree....... |

I drove a 120d for half a year, a very bouncy car(on 17"RFTs) My F10 is way more comfy than a 1 series ever will be. Seriously. |

My suggestion is try the stock suspension first. See if you and your wife feel alright. I changed to H&R because my wife complained the stock suspension's body roll is too excessive. She wanted to puke whenever I drove on curvy roads. After the swap, no more complaints.

1) Ditch the run flats. I am running Michelin PS3, 225/40R18, 255/35R18. Way better than the RE050A run craps! 2) Koni FSD shocks! The car is not bouncy now and very comfortable driving around. But when you push it, my 135i corners way better than the stock sport suspension! On the F10 550i, Eibach gives you a lowered look but in terms of ride quality, closest to stock (without the boat ride feeling)

Eibach on my F10. Fairly cheap. The set is around HKD2-2.5K

Haha. Actually my butt is more sensitive. I feel the H&R a bit harsher than the stock. My wife feels no difference.
