How long before the media releases a picture of the dead guy from when he was 11 years old with a headline "Texas father kills man in cold blood who was helping an abandoned child."

Fixed that for you. Dunno whether he was actually white, nor I think it matters, but let's not spoil media stories with the facts...

Yeah it is okay for TX government to kill people by injection but you are not allow to kill someone who broke into your home and attacks your family. Like I said if the Father shot the guy, he may have fair a lots better verse beating him to death. You know the other side will argue that once he had him off his daughter and probably knock out the threat was over and anything he did after that was murder not self defense or under the Castle doctrine of stand your ground. |

Don't rely on TV for an accurate portrayal of the judicial system. TV gets some stuff right, occasionally. You are absolutely right though, dead witnesses do not give great testimony.

They did convene a grand jury to decide whether to bring charges against him. So they did attempt to file murder charges. What appears to have save him was the fact he called 911 immediately afterward and told them he beat him up and look like he was going to die and they needed to get help there immediately. However, the 911 operator could not locate the guys farm on the maps and had trouble directing paramedic to his place the guy died while they were in route. They also said there was evidence that guy attacked the girl. TX's Stand your ground law allows for the use of deadly force when some is being rapped.
