Closing in
Hey guys, I have a few questions. I'm about to close in on a 2011 F10. My questions are, with the "premium" sound system does the car come with a factory subwoofer, can I watch DVD's on the nav screen and do I need to buy the BMW iPod cable interface with the aux cable built in or can I just use my white iPod cable. Can i watch video from my iPod to the nav screen? Thanks a million.

Congratulations - it'll be a huge upgrade for you from the E38.

Why are you trading in the E38(!?), arguably one of the best BMW's ever.
Yours is a reliable final model year model as well. Have you driven the F10!? Steering is artificial. (sorry, but wondering...) Either way, enjoy. Last edited by dbs600; 05-10-2014 at 11:08 PM.. |

I had the E38 for 2 years and it was my 1st bmw. My fav body style growing up. But I wanted something newer, and with less pistons and AWD. The E38 is starting to cost me. I've put a lot of love into it and it's time to move on. My biggest fear with the e38 is the damn chain guides that go bad at around 120K to 140K miles and cost a fortune to repair. Sinking 2 to 3 thousand dollars in a 13 year old car doesn't make sense to me.

What's wrong with BMW!? Timing chains (and guides) should last 200k miles. Only $2-3k to fix? Sure not 5x more? |
