Like others, I have seen these discussions on and off for many years and as other have said, things seem to have got more sensible

But the other day, I had ATS out to change my rear tyres (company car so I always get them to come to me) and the guy was saying that in the last week, they have been told to stop swapping out run flats for normal tyres as the rules have changed.

Now this may be total rubbish (although there was no reason for the ATS guy to lie) but perhaps somebody in the know can confirm or deny this.

I've got Event Tyres coming round later today to swap my RFTs to non RFT. Any issues and I'll let you know.

Maybe it's because it's a company car?

Doubt it because I was not asking him to put non run flats on. I just get what I am given these days but we were just chatting cars in general and it came up in the conversation.

Maybe it's a liability thing there trying to avoid, fitting non run flats and people getting stuck with punctures and blaming ATS.

All fitted, no issues he was aware of.

Only thing he seemed to think was with TPMS valve the wheels have to go on the same corner they came off. Can't speak for other makes of car but a quick reset and a couple of miles driving and all was reset and good to go.
