Yep I'll agree with that one, they don't push back far enough which means it's more or less all or nothing

Cool Headlights are misty on rainy days

Hi guys, this is my first post
I have a 2011 F10 550i, on rainy days the headlights become misty, foggy. 15, 20 minutes after the rain, they come back to normal.
At the dealership they say that this is normal, but never seen this before.
Anyone has the same issue?
Tks, cheers

Yep normal xenon lights, few treads for the this issue exist, but make sure the steam goes after couple of days because some was down to more access to water than the normal air vent related to cooling the xenon lights!

An irritant of mine is definitely the climate control icon gets rubbed off after some use. ARGH!

Suspension in the base non-DHP car.

Just seems way off.

After about 3 months, I love the car. Minor complaints..

1. Need a better place to store cellphone, especially if you are charging it with a cigarette lighter adapter.

2. A car at this price should have a standard leather dashboard and options such as lane change notifications, google etc should be standard.

3. Bluebooth and voice commands are a bit slow and laggy.

Radio station indicator floats around instead of showing the one you're on.

Flash-to-pass barely has any time to start up the xenons.

1. cupholders will hold a max of a 16oz mug. My F07 has the normal, large ones, why didn't they incorporate these into the F10?
2. air conditioning always on after starting the car. I'd like to have the option instead.
3. side mirrors should automatically close when locking the car. Every other brand has this feature.

#1. I've had a Super Big Gulp in there many times. It's all about the size of the base of the cup.

#3. Can be coded.

Two weeks in with my F10 and that is my only complaint. The upside is I wind up placing in the center console and am not tempted to check email while driving. It's also made me learn to rely more on Siri.

This car also compels me to use EcoPro much more than in my F30 328i. For the 328i, the differences between EcoPro, Comfort, and Sport/Sport+ were vast, with EcoPro downright tortuous in its languid throttle response. EcoPro in my 528i feels much more natural and the coasting function in suburban traffic is great.

Love this car. Compared it with he pre-LCI F10 528, A6, and GS350 and couldn't be happier. That said, here are my annoyances-

1. Driver mirror doesn't tilt down when reversing. [Edit- it does, need to move mirror tab to left]
2. GPS engine is not Google. I've already been sent on sh*ttier routes compared with what google maps suggested on phone. [Edit- Huge annoyance. The GPS is inferior to google maps]
3. Center console doesn't have a channel to pass sub cable through and I'm constantly closing the cover on the cable.
4. Wood trim scratches way to easily. Maybe a less sheen would be more durable without compromising aesthetics much.
5. Chrome plastic side markers look cheap.
6. Stock stereo sucks. [Edit- Listened to the HK in a loaner for 4 days, not much better.]

All are very minor, like I said love the car. The 4 is amazingly punchy.

After driving an X4 loaner for 4 days, my biggest peeve is the anemic sound of the 528. The X4 sounds amazing in comparison.

On every other note, thrilled to have my car back.

xDrive35i, so the inline 6cyl turbo. But I don't think some of the other models that share this engine have the same sound. Must be the exhaust?
