Maybe check REALOEM for the headlamp components? If it doesn't list the bulb separately, usually means that it is not changeable?

Good suggestion. Looks like part #2 here: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...11&hg=63&fg=05.

I've done a lot of reading as I wait for my car to arrive (currently at VPC). I don't have a link for you, but I had been researching how to reprogram the car to let video/dvd play on the main nav screen while the car was moving. Anyway, in one of those threads (search for "coding" or "CIC coding" on f1.5post.com or 5series.net or maybe here but not in the F10 forum) I recall reading that the angel eyes brightness was controllable and could be made brighter through software.

Well apparently I imagined that... I just tried to find it and could not. Sorry about the confusion.

Thanks, I was on that site already. Repair kit for LED module looks like it but where is located? The bottom or behind #6?

The angel eyes on the halogen lights are not as bright as the angel eyes on the xenon lights.

I would also like to make mine brighter.

I should have ordered the xenons from the start.......

I have changed the yellow look DRL's on my 2010 X6 to 8000k HID bulbs and they look amazing! I just need someone to come up with a kit for the F10 with halogen headlights

I just can't understand why anyone would want to upgrade the xenons (and related corona rings) in this car.

Halogens, okay, but the auto-leveling xenons have the best light coverage of every car I've owned. And I think I said that in my past 2-3 cars - the difference here is not only brightness, but also the light pattern (while driving uphill, downhill, or turning the wheel).

And regarding fog lamps - the point of fogs is to be a somewhat dim light. If not, why would France previously mandate then allow YELLOW lights. Because it helps in foggy conditions (although sealed-beam lights aren't even 1/100 of the devices that current xenons are).

Otherwise you're driving around with rice/ghetto lamps. I fully support the UK's decision to crack down on this crap.

Sequal! Were you able to locate replacement LEDs for the F10 halogen headlight coronas? And just need the location of the LED to switch it out?

You may want to look at the front wheel well's wheelarch trim - unscrew the cover and access the bulbs before you rip out the headlamp

In the front wheel-wells there is a panel to access the low beam head lights bulbs. once installed you can mount the ballast behind the panel. PM me for more details on installation.

I think you got the wrong end of the stick. Us meager Halogen headlight owners would like to upgrade our DRL's as they come in a sort of washed out white light as standard, we want bright light like you Xenon owners (without the £900 cost)! I agree totally with two fast two furious fog lights!

If you have LED corona rings there is no bulb to replace. There are Light Emitting Diods fitted all around the actual ring. I think LED comes with Xenon headlights. Without xenons I guess the corona rings use halogen and then there should be bulbs somewhere... I haven't figured out (or I have missed) what you got from the postings above.

Has anybody contacted John to see if he has tried this on the Halogens?
