Front shock toast, upgrade to coil overs?
I replaced my springs over a year ago, put 30k miles since and my front left shock seems to be making a lot of noise, over small bumps or just when turning. It sounds like a metal scratching/squealing sound. i took the wheel off to check everything there, not signs of metal grinding, so it must be the shock.
I remember people saying if you lower the car with springs, eventually the shock will fail and will have to go with coil overs. Ride quality sucked with the new springs too. Anyways, whats a good coil over set? i still want the car lowered about 1.5 inches from stock height and prefer a firmer sportier ride. Suggestions? |

What springs did you install?
Also which stock shocks? Sport or standard? |

I have the RWD. I have the M-Sport package, so sport?
The springs were H&R Sport Springs. Ill know for sure when i pick the car up, took it to the shop this morning to get it diagnosed, they think it might be the electric steering thats making the noise, doubt it tho. |

very common now to hear people blowing shocks with just lowering springs. good decision on moving up to coilovers...you won't regret it!
