Just ordered a new CF diffuser to make room for my M5 CP mufflers on the 535. I went with OEM design (without vertical fins) which is a little less aggressive looking. More my style I guess.

It was $289 on Amazon w/free shipping. I have an Amazon credit card which I use for all of my work expenses so I was able to apply $110 in Amazon rewards dollars, bringing my total down to only $179. Booyah!

More to come...

I ordered one from them a while back, and had fitment issues.

Yeah I saw the one you had posted for sale when I was researching which one to get. Yours looked like it had a different bolt hole pattern than the carbon fiber one I ordered. See the pics below.

Trust it'll be going back straight away if the figment is noticeably off. I'm too OCD for that!

That looks like a stylish, but not over the top, upgrade to the OEM.

I am considering the same diffuser for my 2014 550i.

Please post the results when you get it on the car.

Thanks.

im pretty sure you will have some issues installing since the M5 is slightly different then the regular 5 series.

That's not good. I thought the M5 and M Sport bumper were the same. Did you read that somewhere on here? If you have a link to the thread please share.

Overall, what I am reading is that its not a perfect it and that you might ned to modify the bottom tabs to make it work.

I'd recommend getting on that built for a 535i in the first place.

Ah yes, I did read that thread. Kind of confused on whether those issues are centered around:

a) the M5 diffuser not fitting on the m-sport bumper, or
b) the M5 diffuser fitting the m-sport bumper but having compatibility issues with the stock 535 and/or aftermarket mufflers.

My thought was it was the latter and seeing as I am having new M5 mufflers installed, which have much smaller cans than the stock 535 mufflers, there wouldn't be figment issues that couldn't be overcome by the muffler shop.

Am I off?

Well from what I read it is that the M5 diffuser might need some modifying on the bottom tabs to line it up perfect. Not a big job.

There is no problem with M5 mufflers; that person who posted that picture was running an aftermarket exhaust so it got complicated.

usually with the diffusers they will all fit the MSPORT rear bumper. it's if you order a diffuser for the M5 the exhaust openings sit more inward and if you get the diffuser for MSPORT than it should be fine. like mine, i have the DTM diffuser for a M5. when i had the Meisterschaft's exhaust installed i had to have the shop modify the exhaust hangers to make it sit more inward. i had a picture to show you the difference but i can't find it?

yup, its more of an exhaust muffer/tip issue. I have a 550i with the M5 exhaust, so that is what prevented me from getting a rear diffuser.

Somehow the diffuser is getting here today, ten days early from China. I'll take it! Not sure if I'll get to install it tonight but will report back when I do.

So...before I concede and admit that you guys told me so...I have a few things to say in my own defense. lol

Sounds dumb but I didn't realize I had Comfort Access for my trunk. Like others, my CA doors work fine, but my trunk didn't budge, no mater what I tried. This lead me to think that maybe the doors and trunk were actually separate CA options. What is funny is that after popping off my stock diffuser, seeing all the sensors on the non-M5 adapter plate, knowing I was screwed, and putting the stock diffuser back on...now my trunk C.A. works.

So now this thread has become my best friend as me and Highpriest0303 have the same struggles:

http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=950378

So...you guys told me so! Ugh!

I am not admitting defeat though. I am ordering the adapter tonight so stay tuned for the next episode when I get this all sorted! (hopefully)

I know how that feels! lol

Good thing I have the adapter already from my M5 Conversion kit. I will be ordering something similar to this soon.

I'm not excited about the idea of spending hours of my life installing a new M5 adapter (51128053585) that no one will see, only to throw away my current one...which I could have cut up in the first place. Right?

Hold my beer...

Yeah, if no one is going to see the imperfection it won't matter lol. I would just DIY it and save some money.
