Nice! Congratulation.
Comfort seat = Multi-countour seat? or are they different? I am trying to order 535i GT for ED. But I could only test drive 550i GT as 535i GT are not here yet. I felt 550i very heavy yet firm and smooth. I am not much of sporty person; I just want the car to be smooth and somewhat swift. Will 35i be smooth and quiet as v8? in cruising speed. Thx. |

Well, I can't answer that. I have the diesel
But the diesel is very, very quiet, so I can't think it's much difference between the 550 and the 535 in cruising speed. It's a hell of a car. Very comfortable, and yet, sporty. |

I've driven both the 535i and the 550i. The 550i is quieter on full throttle accelleration, but at cruise, they are similar. The tire size option will make a difference in the road noise and feel. For max comfort, the 18" stock wheels and tires will be more comfortable (taller sidewall to act as a cushion), although the larger tires look nicer. My feeling is, I can't see the tires while I'm driving, and I don't really look at the car much while it is parked, so I don't put that much in how it looks. For max cornering, the bigger wheels are good, but few people ever use it. Bigger wheels are not great in the NE where you get a lot of potholes, either!

535 XI GT
That's a beautiful car. Congratulations. The space grey is a great color. My wife had that color on a 328ci.
I got the 550 XI GT last Saturday and just love it. Every day I like it more. My wife liked it so much, yesterday she traded in her beloved 2008 335 ci on a 353 XI GT. We're boring in that we both chose the Obsidian Black. I have the Dakota Saddle tan interior and she got the lighter tan interior. The total package is gorgeous...the contrast between the black and the light tan is very striking, albeit rather more feminine looking. After seeing your car, though, I'm second-guesssing my self on the color choice. Enjoy. Keep us posted on how you like it as you get accustomed to it. |
