no overtaking indicator (speed limit display)
All,
I've still not seen the no overtaking indicator be displayed on my car (i have Speed limit display in a April 2012 F10 alogn with HUD). Details of what I'm talking about here http://www.bmw.com/com/en/insights/t...imit_info.html i'm the Uk and have driven past one of these no overtaking road signs but never seen the sign display in the car yet. Anyone else seeing this and confirming that this is functional in our cars in particular the UK? Wondering if there is an option concerning this that can be coded possibly? |

I don't belive thats the case as its picked up speed limit signs on teh left hand side of a parallel road on occassions before.
It also picks up the dot matrix signs on the M25 that above the road so when the variable speed limit is on, it shows that rather than 70mph for example. I've only seen one of the no overtaking signs to date (right next to Brooklands musuem . Mercedes Benz World ) in the UK and the no overtaking sign was not triggered in the car. It's mentioned in quite a lot of literatuire including for the UK, but as I say, I've not seen it pop up yet. (I was wondering if it was clever enough to pick up on double white lines as well but perhaps lane departure warning is required ? I'm just guessing) Would be good to have a list of exactly what signs the system is capable of detecting. Appreciate this would be country sepcific. |
