I know this has been posted on here before, but thought the exposure on BBC is nice.

Well - never seen this one before. Being British and living in the UK, I pay my Television Licence (A.K.A. Telly tax in the UK) ... which for non-UK folks, is a fee collected specifically for funding the production of BBC programs. Annual fee is 145.50 GBP.

I pay this with no quarrel : the BBC is unique is world television production value, quality and ethics. Documentaries and drama are of unparrallelled quality, IMHO.

However, being from the UK seems to prohibit my enjoyment of this link ....

BBC Worldwide (International Site)

We're sorry but this site is not accessible from the UK as it is part of our international service and is not funded by the licence fee. It is run commercially by BBC Worldwide, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the BBC, the profits made from it go back to BBC programme-makers to help fund great new BBC programmes. You can find out more about BBC Worldwide and its digital activities at www.bbcworldwide.com.

How strange. So the BBC (funded by the license fee), wholly own BBC Worldwide. BBC Worldwide sell DVD's and rights to air programs and content to other TV channels (produced by the BBC, funded by the licence fee) ... and some how this excludes me, as a UK resident and licence fee payer, from seeing the BBC worldwide content.

Yet, in places that fall into the sub-set of "not the UK" ... where, with certainty, no TV licence fee is payed ... can see the BBC worldwide content.

BBC logic.

I had that once trying to buy tires online from another Canadian province and I was blocked because I was in British Columbia.
