Recommendations for a code reader/scanner
Well, I guess the time has come for me to give in. I have made it 30 years working on cars but BMW has made me give in. I will soon need to do the rear brakes, need to reset the oil light and a few other odds and ends... Also, my son has a Mini Cooper and I’m sure more BMWs and or MB’s will be in the future.
What do you all recommend as a good unit that will last a long time and be good for an avid DIYer?

Foxwell NT510 (and elite version for a bit more) with BMW software (both available on Amazon) is an excellent choice and will do everything you need including resetting adaptations, fuel injector compensation values, etc. Works on mini Cooper too. Or the bimmergeeks protools if you want to use a tablet and have access to coding. Reccomend the wired OB2 to USB adapter over wireless if you do go that route.
