N55 Valve cover changed. Have a few questions

First of all sorry for not including pictures, I will get some soon if need be. I'm sure most of you will know exactly what I'm talking about so all the help will be appreciated.

I just did a valve cover replacement on my 2011 535i Xdrive and now I'm getting a bunch codes. I had zero before. I'm gunna try to figure out if it's just the ignition coils or not for the misfiring, but i feel like there might be a vacuum leak instead as everything was working just fine before hand.

Aside from the codes I noticed on the lower passenger side of the vc there are two notches that apparently have rubber hoses connected to them. One is a closed hose and the other is a longer one that is open ended. I took them off of my old vc and put them on the new one. I'm confused as to the second hose. Is it just supposed to be open or does it hook to anything? I can't find any other things thay need connected. Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: I also read that those little rubber pieces are for PWG cars and their wastegate. Is that correct? If so is anyone able to provide pictures to where that would hook up to

I do not have those ports on my n55 engine VC. so no help there, but you had to disconnect and remove the coils and fuel injectors wire harness to VC change. I am thinking wires to fuel injectors not connected/ seated properly. did you hear each one click when re-connecting them?

If I remember correctly both of those vacuum parts are used. Look for a loose hose down low near turbo

Misfire is probably coming from coil pack harness being not fully seated. Remove retaining clip from each pack fully seat the harness then reinstall retaining clip.

Here is step by step on vc replacement

Thanks! I'll check out the harness tomorrow. I did end up finding out the I simply forgot to connect the rubber hose from the VC to my actuator and the small plastic clip on top of my PCV. That fixed the vaccum problem. I do have new ignition coils otw anyways as I am assuming they are just old.

Did you disconnect your battery prior to doing any of this?

Same thing happened to me and I thought I destroyed my car lol. Don’t worry, just recheck your coil packs if they are seated all the way down, give it a heavy push down the cylinder. Also check your fuel injector wire that you had to have remove before, I know you can mistakenly put it in backwards sometimes, try hearing a click when putting back in. This is nothing to be scared about just honestly unplug all of the coils and injector wires and just plug them back in more carefully and precisely.
