Help Me Identify Source of Oil Leak (N20)
Hi everyone,
I have oil leak from the backside of the engine and it's constantly dripping on top of the gearbox's bell house. I just replaced valve cover gasket and vacuum pump seal because I thought it was leaking from there. I mean it's still leaking until now and you can see in the pic below there's oil on the vacuum pump Could it be vacuum pump that needs to be replaced? Is it possible if the vacuum pump is internally leaking and the oil is seeping to the outside? I took pics from the left back side of the engine: View post on imgur.com |

if you know that the vacuum pump is tightened properly and seated correctly, then it may be a faulty vacuum pump

But I wonder where did the oil seep through the body of the vacuum pump itself |

Update
Found the source of oil leak, it was coming from the vacuum line which wasn't seated/connected properly. Reseated the line and put some sealant around the end of line, 3 days and no trace of oil leak on the bell house. Is it normal for little amount of oil to run through the vacuum line? mine is N20 with EWG, so I can't check where the oil will eventually pooled (unlike PWG which will end up in the engine cover reservoir IIRC) |
