Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

My wife's new x1 was in the shop for a software fix. So, our wonderful dealer gave her a beautiful 2013 535i---virtually loaded.

First, I was struck by the handling, and to some extent the interior. I swear, this car handles like an E39. It is so lightweight, nimble, and tossable.

Then, it was night.

The crystal white angel eyes cast a glass shadow breaking the darkness like some kind of fissionable material---it was glorious!!!

And then, standing not less 20 feet in front of the glaring beams my head gazed downward. At first it felt like I was standing in my own pee. The feeling got worse. And then it hit me.

Nooooooooooooooooooo!

The value of the white hot crystal beams were suddenly diminished by a mixture of sulphur and urine. The once mighty and valiant white hot headlights were decimated by the cheese colored, sulphur burning fog lights.

Why BMW? Why? Yellow fog lights on the same car that housed these brilliant headlights? Why?

Why are you spoon feeding us and making us wait for LCI after LCI? Take a bite from Apple and learn the importance of completing the aesthetic picture.

Ahhhhhhhhh.

LOL, a simple bulb upgrade is cheaper than waiting for an LCI. =)

I never find the need for the fog lights anyway, the adaptive headlight option is awesome. The car looks awesome without them on.

LOL hilarious. That's how I feel about my AW 535i. Planning on swapping out those nasty bulbs tomorrow.

The theory is that selective yellow lamps (white light with blue frequencies removed) give better object definition and produces less reflection and dazzle in fog, light rain and fine snow. Don't know whether it's true or not

See (http://www.danielsternlighting.com/t...ght_color.html) Interesting read...

In short I distil from it that selective yellow filtering takes blue out the spectrum (which is difficult for retina to deal with), so leaving good light to discern objects in front of you that you need to see...

Have had the car for 18 months and I have never turned those fog lights on once. Not to even see if it comes on.

Remove them by using the bumper grilles from the M550d.
