Stage1 Polish - Black 535i

Bought a PC-7424 and some Pinnacle products earlier last week and spent the better part of this weekend getting the swirls out of my 5er. Lot of work, but the payoff seems well worth the trouble.

Took some glamour shots to show off the new 20's. Also de-badged the trunk while I was at it. I think it looks great for just another M-sport. Nicely OEM+.

Wow! Very nice! So what did your stage 1 consist of if you can share those details as you're aware I'm going to be tackling this in in a few weeks! Polishing, cutting, finishing... did you seal the paint afterwards?

Pinnacle Advanced Swirl Remover with an orange Lake Country hex foam light cutting pad and the PC polisher set on 5. Then, just went over it with some Optimum Car Wax (spray). Surface was prepped with Meguires Gold Class and Adam's Pro Clay Bar.

Nice! Did you take a finishing Polish after the swirl remover and seal it?

Nah, didn't have time for all that. The Optimum Spray Wax will have to hold it until next weekend. I'll clean it up again Friday and hit it with some Megs Black Wax over the weekend.

What a difference from the picture that has the swirls to the finished picture where it looks super clear and mirror like

What tyre sizes are you running? 245/35/20 & 275/30/20? or stuck with the 7 series sizes?

haha tell me about it, I'm paranoid too. One cloud pissed on mine today while I was at the office, and just seeing those water spots is infuriating, yet I can't just 'wipe' them off.

Haha I know what you mean. When I used BetaLink on my 3d spoiler for the trunk any water accumulation just pools up and accumulates water like a bird bath. So annoying! Ill have to take a picture the next time it rains pretty good.

Great job, yeah, a proper machine polish does wonders for how the paint looks and pops. It is time consuming, when I do mine it takes 12-14 hours easily, but it is well worth the effort. Just remember to maintain, because modern paint jobs can handle a good hard polish maybe 3 times in their life, max.

My BlackLight from Chemical Guys came in. I've read many reviews as this works great on our black cars!
