+1 on a coating. I install and use ceramic pro and have had no swirls appear. Even on the car we bring to demo on at shows in which we wipe it down in less than satisfactory conditions.

+1 on Blacklight! But don't forget. No product can activate based on the colour of your car. What happens is the filling process which is more apparent on darker cars. I Just put some on again last night and she's blingin' !!!
I personally find it only last a few washes but still experimenting between BL, then Wax, etc...
It keeps things interesting! I do think i will keep BL in my detailing arsenal !

I was waiting to see if I could slide the roof spoiler into the same Vorsteiner rear diffuser box and pay one freight and one tax into Oz. But I was horrified to see our guy isn't selling them at the same price anymore - check this out as he's gone from the original buy price of US$60 to his current price of US$799. This is effin ridiculous for ABS plastic so i'm not going to support that level of greed.

I'm hoping to pull the trigger any day now on the rear Diffuser ($3000 by the time I get it freighted and pay tax in Oz then another $650 to do dual to quad conversion)

holy crap! i'm blown away with that markup how do you go from $60n to $799? there was one for sale in the Market Place awhile back for like $100 but i'm not sure if he'll take the time to ship it to OZ? can't believe what it's going to cost you for everything when it's all done

+1 on the ceramic coating, specially for darker colored cars.

you can diy using the wolfgang uber ceramic coating...170 for the kit on autogeek but its some awesome stuff and super easy to apply!!

also go get a power washer/foam cannon as well.

if the car isn't too dirty i can usually foam it and blow it drive with a leaf blower....

Thank you!

Recently bought some Menzerna 3-in-1 and went over the whole car again with a fresh uber orange 5.5" foam pad. Followed it with Meguires Black paste wax on a uber black pad. Looks even better now

car is already getting ready for storage here in a month for winter but is the ceramic coating pretty much like JetSeal? liquid right?

Jet Seal is a synthetic wax.

The ceramic coating actually has silica in it.

Which means that its more of a hardshell coating that bonds directly with your paint, this is why preparation of the surface is much more important.

check out this video of the hydrophobic properties.

This is the Actual Coating I applied.

applying the coating itself is fairly easy (this is why i chose the wolgang uber ceramic), however its the prep work (which you've already done alot of) is what takes the longest.

If i owned a black car i'd def go this route, and if you regularly wash/garage/maintain your car the coating will last pretty long. The wolfgang stuff is rated at 3 years by the manufacturer.

Sucks you have to put the car in storage, so glad i don't live in that weather any more
