JB4 Harness question

New to this platform (coming from N54). Will be planning on purchasing a 2011 550i here soon and was reading up that there was a Harness A and Harness B to choose from for the JB4...

Does generally 2011 550i use the Harness A while the newer (2012 and up) use Harness B?

If it matters, and probably does, mine has the B connector. So it appears the A was in use on some cars in 2013 and prior. It's really easy to tell which one you have though.
