BootMod3 x SonicMS in Bay Area, CA

This is a place holder while I do a full write-up.

All I have to say is WOWOWOWOWO .

Took some time to get it working due to issues with my car but man, BootMod3 is the real deal. The guys at SonicMS definitely know what they're doing and helped every step of the way with the DME unlock and setting up the maps.

Expect a full write-up shortly!

Its no surprise how I'm able to beat cars that use to pass me after 100mph when I had jb4 even with E30. I haven't ran E85 yet since winter blends here have low E content but oh boy.

Looking forward to your results

Sounds interesting, the tuner doing my tune wants me to buy a power gate to change my tune from 91 to E60. Not liking that it only loads the tune thru OBD port and no monitoring. I'm going to have to do more research. Can't wait to read your write up.

How is SonicMS, they might be an option for me since they are only 2hrs away.

Cool Deal! Looks like they tune with the Alientech software which is the same as the Tuner near me is using. I will now hold off on buying the powergate3 and would like to hear more feedback on your BootMod3 once completed.

When my car is finalized, I will most likely be in contact with them to learn more about the BootMod3.

I currently have jb4... any data as to what whp and wtq is being made with bootmod3 on 535? I am wondering because I am 40 minutes away from the bootmod3 authorized performamce shop.

I got catlesd dp + mpe exhaust + 93 oct.

I am willing to put e85 as well in summer, would bootmod3 work with jb4 for the purpose of flexfuel?

Just went deep into researching the BM3 and wow it looks promising. I like how you can change the maps from a laptop, mobile phone and hopefully iphone soon. Being able to monitor temps, boost and other stuff is a plus. My ECU is getting unlocked and wondering if the BootMod3 can save my current tune so I can compare the tune from what the tuner shop is doing now to what they have preloaded into the BM3. Looks like I am all in!!!

Everything has been great so far. Had to get the brakes replaced last week under warranty. Flashed the car to stock from the app and took it to the dealer. Took the car home after and flashed it back to stage 1.

I wish it was $100 here lol, take it to the strip run 2-3x on your map then flash back to stock and see. Although, if you're RWD and crappy tires won't help in the strip. Sometimes that $100-$125 will go a long way.

Yeah. Car is just having small things with vibrating so I think BMW fucked up the rotor install so I want to get all the little quirks fixed and then when I get back from my trip. Going to get some test with e85 logs and then go for a dyno.

I had a a ton of vibration problem last year. Check points for this problem for me were:
Cracked rim
Control arm replacement
"Look ahead" electronic steering recall
Wrapped rotors
But the biggest kicker for me was those damn run flats that were out of wak and slightly bent on the side causing a horrible vibration.

I got summer performance tires (firehawk indy 500) I bought that I am going to put, all season run flats are garbage! So I decided to go winter tires and summer tires separately and would never look back at all seasons or run flata again.

But today my radiator blew up and I hope it wasnt because the car was making extra power due to JB4 though I am glad that I am still under CPO warranty.

I am going to call ACF performance shop here in Chicago tomorrow to see if they have any dyno numbers on bootmo3 since they are authorized shop for bootmod3 and probably should have a dyno setup.

I have the PZERO Run flats that came with the car that honestly have been great. Might switch to pilot super sports when these die.

Mine came with Goodyear, they were shit, maybe dealership cheaped on the tires for me because my winter tires currently out perform them.
