Keep my e60 535xi or get a new f10

Hey guys, so I haven't been able to decide whether I'm either gonna keep my current e60 lci 535xi and mod it (id prolly go FBO all at once) or get a newer 535 and do the same. However, when I looked at the f10 535 dynos it looks like even with a downpipe, they are barely putting 300hp to the wheels. Am i better off just keeping my car and modding it? I really like the looks of the f10 (inside and out), but hearing that it could be slower than my current car even with a tune and dp makes me have second thoughts. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Comparing E60 to F10 is so interesting like e.g. comparing E39 to E60, and you know, each generation has it's own pros and cons and also the truly fans forever. As the former owner of E60 540i I would confess: I really miss its true 4000cc natural-aspirated V8, sharp handling, firm suspension, flat cornering and much cheaper cost of everything (except maybe fuel).

The only reason why I changed E60 to F10 was not the E60 is ugly, but the car was already 7 years old and after 158,000 miles too many materials (rubbers, plastics, bushings, linings etc.) were naturally worn down to physical resource limit. Despite careful dealer service at all car's lifetime, I started to invest too much in maintenance and replacements, too many hours in car shop. The last drop was when suddenly in the summer the radiator just blew out and I paid evacuation and then 4,000 dollars to have it fixed. It was just the time to say goodbye.

BMW has quite different philosophy in the F10: the car is not the brutal uncompromising street fighter anymore, but it is the businessman in suite with pockets full of gifts and gizmos... and then too much turbo, electric steering, floaty suspension, "pulling-to-the-right" etc.

In the power and speed aspects of 535xi that you pointed here, the E60 and F10 are very close:

I hope, for the sake of justice my current F10 will forgive me, but: the old E60 was such a good car, and if it wouldn't try to suck my wallet dry, I would keep it.

Now what about you?

The f10 is more refined but much bigger. It won't feel as nimble as your e60 but it's not bad either.
