M5 Rear Diffusor on M-Sport Bumper
I've seen multiple M5 rear diffusors running on non-M5's and think they look great. I'm looking to add this to my m-sport bumper, but the local car shop has stated that the M5 rear diffusor is "shorter" and not a direct fit.
Is this true? If so, what needs to modified to make this happen? I already know the exhaust needs to be modified to fit the more narrow cut-outs, but I didn't know the actual diffusor had fitment issues. Thanks for your help! |

Diffuser isn't shorter. It bolts right up to the msport bumper BUT there is a part that you will need to trim off for it to fit. There is a bracket that holds the comfort access sensors that needs to be cut off and relocate the sensors. The bracket is right in the center behind the diffuser.

That i'm not sure since i didn't do this conversion on my own car. This is just what i gathered from seeing other people's posts. supposidly bmw sells a different bracket for the M5 so you can have a more oem setup but i heard its hard to get a hold of that part only. Check realoem.com
