343 wheels on 535 tire size help

Hey guys, my 20" 343 wheels are going on my stock 535 and wanted your feedback on tire sizes. Im thinking of front 255/45/20 and rear 285/30/20. Just wanted a meatier tire to fill in the gaps of a stock rise height. Will these sizes affect the speedo very much. Any feed would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

rear tires are the normal size for our cars. the front tire might give it an odd look. being round, tires are the same thickness all around, so going with that size may close the gap a little, but it also effectively raises the front a little as well. you can go 255, but I would go 255/35

RWD or xDrive?

With RWD there are alot of possible tire setups for OEM 343 wheels:

F: 9x20" ET34, 255/35-20 (1% taller than OEM)
R: 10x20" ET34, 275/35-20 (3% taller than OEM)

F: 9x20" ET34, 265/35-20 (2% taller than OEM)
R: 10x20" ET34, 285/35-20 (4% taller than OEM)

F: 9x20" ET34, 265/30-20 (2% shorter than OEM)
R: 10x20" ET34, 285/30-20 (OEM diameter)

With xDrive the best option would be:

F: 9x20" ET34, 245/35-20 (OEM diameter)
R: 10x20" ET34, 285/30-20 (OEM diameter)

But since the 245/285 setup has OEM diameters they will not fill the wheel gaps which was one of the purposes with the new tires. The front tires will also have much more stretch than the rears which doesn't look great.

Remember that the rear 343 wheels are 13mm more aggressive than the fronts. This effect will be even clearer if the front tires have more stretch than the rears.

I have 343's on my RWD 535 and am running 255/35/20 and 285/30/20. Works just fine and looks great. I don't have any wheel gap issues as I am lowered on ACS springs.

I hope you mean 255/35/20, not 255/45/20.

255/45-20 has way too tall diameter to fit on F10!

255/40-20 is the limit up front on F10. But it's crucial with correct offset, needs to be around 25-27. The 343 front wheels has ET34 and 255/40-20 will rub the steering knuckle.

This photo show 255/40-20 on 8.5x20" wheels with ET32, less than 1/10" clearance with the car on the lift and rubs with the weight on the wheels.

How's the ride on 20's and tire size? I've been thinking about getting those rims but afraid of how much I will sacrifice, road comfort wise.

I had the same concerns when I switched to the 343's. since the runflats are gone the ride has actually gotten smoother, bumps in the road aren't so harsh anymore. It could also do with the fact that 343 wheels are lighter than the stock 19's, and the steering feels more precise.
