Brake Pads Wear

Hey guys,

Dealership says the below.

BRAKEPAD THICKNESS AT 8MM REAR AND 6MM FRONT (RIGHT FRONT OUTER PAD AT 4MM THICKNESS).

What does the 4mm comment mean? Thank you.

When my rear brake warning light came on, they worn down to about ~3mm. Still plenty miles to go.

Thanks for the reply. But I really am confused why they gave me 2 different readings for my front pads? 6mm and 4mm.

Also what would be causing the uneven wear and is this a concern?

The inside and outside pads on each rotor do not always wear at the same rate. Not sure why that is but I've seen it.
