Muffler Delete...without removing muffler?
I have a 2014 650i GC but those forums are dead when it comes to mods. Can I cut the exhaust pipe prior to the mufflers and just run like that as a muffler delete where i dont remove the actual mufflers....I would just be cutting out 6 inches of pipe and then if i didn't like it i could reweld the pipe back in without messing with the mufflers....downsides?

Meh, carbon monoxide isn't so bad. Just get rid of all the exhaust, and dump the down pipes just behind the front tires.
Now jokes aside, welding in a pair of solenoid actuated exhaust cutouts might be okay for opening it up when you want to. I definitely wouldn't cut off the exhaust just before the mufflers though. I spent 15 minutes looking under the hood of an M6 GC the other day at the dealership. The salesman was thrown off that I only wanted to look under the hood, no interest in sitting in it. Told him I just needed some ideas for my 550i. How do you like (love) the GC? The M6 GC will be mine someday, though I needed to start saving in the late 90's for it.

I actually heard the car with the resonator off, without the straight pipes welded in and it sounded incredible. Trying to get that sound back without the effort of removing the mufflers and putting in tips. Here's a video of the car with pipes cut off before the resonator: http://tinypic.com/player.php?v=2rzcihh&s=8 |
