Problems After N63 CCP Covered Under Warranty + Batteries for Life?

I had the N63 Customer Care Package Recall performed after my factory warranty expired, but if I have a related drivetrain problem going forward (injectors, etc.), will it be covered under ‘warranty’, as the CCP was? I recall reading it would be, but haven’t been able to get a clear answer. So, anyone experience continuing difficulties outside of warranty coverage that was resolved for free after CCP?

Also, will batteries be covered for life since there’s an acknowledged issue with the car’s design eating through them?

Thanks.

well they will make you sign or pay for the check up outside of warranty, usually around $200++ then if they find whats wrong and has to do with the CCP then yes its cover and no charge for check up, however if they dont find anything or its not related they will charge the check up fee plus whatever is wrong if so.

As for the battery I have no idea to be honest. I had mine replaced under warranty right before it expired.

Thanks for your prompt reply!

So we're responsible for the diagnostic fee if whatever is wrong is not related to the CCP.

Are the only parts related to the CCP those that the CCP states or are there other parts that can be covered as well?

Also, if my injectors were not replaced when I had the CCP performed, but fail later, would those be covered going forward as well?

Thanks again!

My SA told me the potential more frequent battery changes are not covered under CCP after warranty expires.
I haven't had any charging issues so far.

Battery replacement not covered outside of warranty even though an acknowledged problem?

Correct. Same line of thinking as "consumables" not being covered under an aftermarket warranty like hoses, seals, gaskets, brake pads, interior trim, etc..
I don't agree, just telling you what she said.

I went as far as letting a trustworthy friend drive it daily to keep it charged when I had to go the Dominican Republic for a week.

I dont think any of us should take what an SA takes as gospel truth....that said, I think BMW is going to find themselves in a very difficult situation with the battery issue (let alone the other CCP issues) as being a routine (1x per year) maintenance item all of a sudden.

As for CCP warranty and diagnostic fees, I took my car post-CCP with DTMs and was not charged a diagnostic fee - initially the dealer claimed that the DTM related repairs were not CCP related but I had previously documented on at least 2 visits that the car was running rough from 0-20mph and they covered the ignition coil replacement under goodwill (bad coils is a known problem for rough idle/starting out).

I fully expect to be arguing with my SA, the service manager and BMW NA as needed as I move forward without the factory warranty - I have no plan to pay for repairs that are well know/documented problems with this motor....

Battery is not covered after warranty. I got mine replace last week from 90ah to 105ah. Hopefully it will last another 4 years as the factory one did. I paid $500 for 105ah + software update + labor.
