I have mine lowered on Eibach springs. They are apparently not as low as the H&R but offer great ride characteristics and just the right height and stance! And if you looked at the pictures of the M3/M4 at the auto shows you could see that they had Eibach springs as well...
BTW, AC Schnitzer springs are made by Eibach! |

They are MRR HR6 20x9 and 20x10.5 They were custom made with special offsets to work on the F10 so that they come out to the fender and not tucked in. Perfect fit and no rubbing, thanks to the guys over at Need4Speed Motorsports.

lower it. the stock height already quite high and with the 20's there is just too much wheel gap on the car. H&R will give it a perfect drop without the slammed look. i dont even want to take pictures of my car till i get the springs on

I do want to lower my car, but I just purchased it and it's on factory warranty till june, and then CPO till June 2016, and then 3rd party extended warranty for 3 years after that. I think installing springs will void warranty on struts, dampers, and any squeek/rattling, the dealer will probably not honor warranty either. Since I plan on keeping the car for at least another 4 years, I'm very reluctant to make the switch. The chances of a damper failing or a strut leak as the car gets older I would think is pretty high. I'm not sure how much it would cost to repair either if on my own coin. Some of the non lowered pics here don't look too bad either.
Anybody have any thoughts towards this? I am not fully convinced yet. |

I'm on the same boat wether to drop it or not....so my best advice is to make your SA a friend and find a good BMW mechanic/shop on the side if anything is not covered after mod. |
