Are chrome wheels cheesey?

I've always had silver or black wheels but have recently found a deal and snagged up a set of 20" Beyern chrome wheels. I definitely don't want to look like a pimp so was just wondering if I should spend a little extra to powdercoat them or even plasti dip them darker or even silver. What would you guys/gals think if you saw a clean F10 with 20" chrome rims?
