MORR wheels.

Hi Guys. I've had my F10 535i for nearly two years and its about time the 17" rubber was replaced. I was waiting for the tyres to wear out some more before the upgrade, but they're still like new! I'm thinking 19" VS8.2 in Signature Black (the car is black/black).

A couple of questions:

Are many of you guys running MORR VS8.2s on your F10? If so what size?

Would the 20" ride OK in Hong Kong if I don't lower the car? As much as I'd love to lower it, I would still like to park it in HK car parks.

When I looked at doing this a couple of years ago I got a quote from Sonic in LA. Is it still necessaryt to order from the US?

I ran Mic Pilot Sport rubber on my E46 M3. Was pretty impressed with them. Any rubber suggestions to complement the MORRs?

Cheers.

You will have no problem with 20" on the F10 in Hong Kong. Go with Mich. PSS on your new wheels!

NO problem with 20". I had them for 2 years now. If not lowered I found it quite weird. Go with springs or coilovers, I have the KWV3. Nothing can beat it.

DO NOT GO TO TAT ON TYRES Shop TO GET OR FIX WHEELS

TAT ON TYRES Shop in Kowloon bay near mega box
https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&l...,263.1,,1,2.55

I have been going to Tat On to change and fix tyres for the pass 5 years and last week I change my F10 wheels and tyre which I got from USA which god knows why they charge me $1000 just to change 4 wheels, he say it is this much because it is 20" which is bull shit.
I change my Stepwgn 18" tyres 1 month ago at the same place and change only $400 for the set. just because it is a BMW car dose not mean you charge more.

The main thing was the balanced my wheels, they did not take out the old leads on the wheels before balancing it so I had vibration on all 4 wheel at speed of 90+

this weekend I went to do alignment at Oscar Pro and they do a very good job with alignment and rebalance all wheels and now are fixed now.

yeah it was $400 for my last 3 cars at the same place too.

They say $400 at 1st before I took the wheels down there and I delivered the rims and tyres to them to be installed ready for my F10 in my 7 seater and drove back home to get the f10 to install the wheels and after install the boss say $1200 at 1st and I say what the hell. He say the price gone up because it is 20" and not 18" which is bullshit because my 2009 E60 had installed 19" there and they also change me $400.

Hi everyone, i am new here ... getting my 528 this week !
Wanna know which aftermarket ECU are you guys having ?
I prefer something plug and play which can't be removed before back to BMW for services.
Thanks, see you all on the road !

I had TMC on mine and took it off. Too much power for the car to handle with everything else at stock..... And I don't really need the added power to begin with......

But it was fun while it lasted. BTW, CEL came on after 2-months with TMC at very low setting of 3. Removed the tune and went into service. Not a word questioning me regarding any mods. However, they had to replace one of the blow-off valve on the car, which may or may not be related to the TMC boost.

PS, this was on a F06 650i with the N63tu.

I am using 20 inch Morr VS8.2 MAtt black. If you talk about the ride, I say not bumpy. My wife no complaint. I bought in Hk cos there is not much costs difference ( i remember less than $3000). At least, I heard from a member that he bought Morr direct from US with inferior quality. If I buy in HK, any problem I will sue the HK dealer. I am using Michelin the top model bought direct from US as introduced by other member.

I am using TMC.

No regret for about $4000. Obvious change/response and speed. slighly less fuel consumtion, may be 10%. A slighly noiser than original status. Now running about 13/L. No error code

Easy install or restore to normal. I took less than 10 mins doing by myself.
