How do you add an M5 diffuser to a 535 Msport?

I saw a link that a good member referred me to to buy a diffuser and insert
for an F0 M5 with obviously no guarantees for fitment on a 535.

http://www.getbmwparts.com/partlocat...catalogid=4462

Many have said it is a simple adaptation.

How simple is it and what is required?
Is it a do it yourself deal or a body shop deal (obviously needs to be painted,
or is there a carbon fiber version?

Any help will be appreciated.

A little late, but just a quick heads up- It is NOT a bolt on affair, unless you have a replacement exhaust readily available.

The M5 diffuser will not work with 535i exhaust configuration. The tips are closer together on the M5 than the 535i. Needless to say, the same goes for the 550i's stock exhaust configuration.

You'l need to trim off the plastic support behind the OEM Msport diffuser, in order to fit the M5 one on. You will need to relocate the PDC module as well, if I recall correctly. Not hard. Took me an hour or so to do all of it. Just need a dremel/grinder, and some zipties.

It fits with either replacing the adaptor to the M5 one or file your OEM one.

The 535i dual exhaust tips fit with no issue but looks like a joke with the big opening. 550i definitely not works.

Most aftermarket exhausts wont work. I fit the Meisterschaft GT-C with a little tweaks without much of a problem.
