N63 JB Stage1 BETA
Hey Looking for reactions from anybody with the burger tune on the N63.
1) I know the dyno says the car is more powerful but does it FEEL faster/ more powerful? 2) Are the launches quicker? 3) How long has it been since the fuel pump or something went after your install? The reason I ask is because on the N55's 1 out of every 7 will blow their fuel pump or throw an error or something within a couple months. I'm just wondering if its the same with the N63's. 4) Finally since it is a Beta, Will there be final release or will they just go to stage 2? |

I never experienced any issues with the JB+, Stage 1 or Stage 2 for my N55, I drove it for over a year with DP, perf. exhaust... I just put the Beta on the 550, so too soon to say much... literally only been 3 days. The car definitely accelerates harder, but nothing like the N55... (much lighter car and the torque increase there was crazy).
As for #4... Terry has sold approximately 50 of the Beta tunes. He said he would start looking at a new stage when he sells about 250 of the Betas... it's in the thread on their forums. wouldn't expect it to happen in the near future. Rich

I have it on my 2012 750, it took a few days to adjust and learn my car but you can feel the difference. It's not like it was on the 135 and 535 I had but keep in mind it's a very mild increase but worth the money

There is no direct correlation from a tune to a "blown" fuel pump. That 1 out of 7 # is ridiculous as well. You will not "blow" a fuel pump with a tune. If someone did have an issue with their car post tune, it was a coincidence.
Second thing, the N63 engine uses a completely different type of high pressure pump from what the N55/N54 use. |

I've had a number of friends complain about the n55 and the fuel pump, which in some cases became more pronounced when the JB tune was added. At the same time I know of a few people that skated by without any issues at all. So its hard to say whether it was the driving style, tune, or the engine itself. Let me rephrase; Is the N63 plagued by any issue that may become more pronounced thanks to the tune? |
