Rear reflector deletion

Whats the best way to get rid of those reflectors in the rear bumper ESPECIALLY the m-sport?

Has anyone got rid? if so how?

I spoke to a friend that owns a plastic moulding company that recons with the dimentions he could do some blankers but they would need painting.

I have a total black and white car (except badges and i am working on that - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Black-White-Ca...-/170523337268) and the only colour left is those chuffin reflectors!

Easiest thing to do would be to paint them like Lacster did.

I'm not so sure - it just doesn't look 'quite right'.
The exhausts are a work of art and suit the car very well, but those painted reflector recesses make it appear as if there's something missing - hmmm, wonder if it could be a pair of reflectors .
However, it's all down to personal taste and if the owner's happy, that's all that matters.

I am thinking of getting those reflectors tinted.
But I am still debating if I want them white like Kevin's or unknown tinted color.

Tough choice.

I checked the legalitys in the uk and the reflectors must be red or not there at all. Lacster's car is a work of art but i am suprised someone somwhere has not come up with a flush fit replacement

I agree that it would look better without the reflectors, but even if you fitted flush-fit body colour covers, you'd still see gaps around the edges and I think it would look a bit odd unless you had them professionally filled and painted.
Alternatively, you could just paint the whole car red .

Just spoke to BMW bodyshop who will fill and spray to remove them totally... But £350 to remove them is a bit much!

How are they attached? Has anyone had them out?

I don't mind them red....at least they aren't orange like the US spec front ones. I am definitely painting the orange ones, but at least the rear red ones match the rear lights. 99% of people aren't going to notice anyway

I don't understand......the rear reflectors are a little darker than the rear tail lights, but they are both red. How do they not match?

The right way to have them "shaved" is to take them to a good body shop and have them fill them with a piece of bumper material, then use plastic filler to blend them in to smooth. I'd guess it'd cost about 1000 to 1500 for each bumper to do well.
