Its crying out for the performance grill and the bigger wheels.

Oooh-errr missus .
Seriously, I agree about the wheels, but I didn't like the spoke design of the optional 19's and they didn't appear to noticeably fill the arches any more than the 18's.
My plan is to see how I go with the car and, if I decide to keep it, I'll probably get a set of 20" 'V' spoke 281 style wheels after the winter.
Black grilles? No thanks, a tad chavvy for me.

No, they're white - I had the camera's white-balance incorrectly set.

Seems ok so far; however, the next two weeks will tell.
I'm off on a round-UK trip of about 2K miles and, seeing as I wouldn't consider an auto car wash, it's going to get really dirty.
I'll be interested to see how easy it is to clean the wheels and I'll let you know.
I certainly hope it proves worthy of all the effort I put into the job - those wheels are bloody heavy!

Is that some form of street-speak denoting the opposite, or do you dislike the car?
If it's the latter, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but your comment probably won't force me to sell it .

I'll be very interested in your opinions on the steering, especially how you determine the on-centre feel.

Collected the car last Tuesday, drove home in the pissing rain, washed it, got it into the garage, wheels off and applied 2 coats of Werkstat Acrylic Jett to the bodywork and Poorboys sealant on the wheels, which took most of Wednesday.
Cost of materials from 'Polished Bliss' at Kintore: £30; 'BMW Seal & Protect' for £300 - I don't think so .
Still got more than half the Werkstat left for another go tomorrow, as a result of repeated encounters with roads covered in filthy farmer's muck , but that's the way of things up here at this time of year.
Specs/options:
1. 535d M Sport
2. Adaptive Drive/18" Wheels
3. Sport Auto
4. Adaptive Xenon Headlights
5. Pro Sat Nav
6. Comfort Seats-heated
7. Rear Camera
8. DAB
9. Split-fold
Absolutely love the pics. Can you tell me if your steering wheel is heated?
