Missing BMW?
My car also was on the Don Juan which came into port Hueneme on 27th August. Online status showed "in transit" until Sept 6th when I guess it cleared customs. Since then it has been showing "in finishing touches". I assume that it is still in their LA BMW center. I suspect they are fixing the scratches/dents on rear bumper while driving in France which I reported to the BMW insurance company. They had said that I should take care of the repairs when the car gets to my BMW dealer.
My CA thinks that BMW decided to fix the car at the BMW center in LA before sending it off to the dealer. Essentially, my car has been in LA for the past 14 days and no news of when to expect delivery. Does anyone have experience with BMW fixing dents/scratches in their LA center instead of having the dealer fixing it and billing the insurance company (Allianz is the insurance provider chosen by BMW for the 14 day insurance coverage for ED). BMW lost our F10. It came into port then for 2 months it was "missing". Finally canceled order and ordered a new E90. Good luck man. I have no idea what happened to our car. I hope yours turns up if not I hope your dealer works with you and offers you a better deal on another car!
