Stage 2 is something all you 535i owners need. The power is awesome. Just make sure you install it correctly or you'll be freaking out when a drivetrain malfunction comes up haha. But thanks to Terry @BMS and "oldrandomguy" the problem is solved.

What are the advertised HP and Torque numbers? Also, is fish tailing easier to pull off from a stop?

Im not sure on the exact HP but fish tailing is easy if you launch using braking. Hold the brake and rev to about 1700rpm then drop the brake and accelerate. If traction is off youll loose the tires in the back.

so I don't get it... the website claims the stage 2 only produces 10 more hp vs. stage 1 yet the feedback claims it's a much more aggressive update and/or power. I can't imagine 10 hp making that big of a diff? what's everyone take on this?

It's about the feel - throttle is remapped, the tune seems to interact with the vehicle in a much more controlled way and it drives like a bigger gain than 10hp.

One thing i've learned tuning my N54 335 is that although peak HP and TQ numbers are similar between all the big tuners, they differ vastly in feel and driveability. Its the power band that matters the most in a daily driver and with proper tuning a car could make more power from idle all the way up to redline while still hitting the same peak number than the car with a inadequate tune.

We need someone to throw the F10 JB4 on a dyno running stage 2 to confirm this and I am willing to contribute to the cost of making it happen.

My old JB3 made about the same power as my Cobb AP S1 but the JB would only feel fast if i floored it while the Cobb flash felt way faster with more torque the rest of the time.

I'd like to try mine on a dyno but I'd be dynoing a catless downpipe as well.

at this point i'd think i'd kill for some dyno sheets and actual 0-60 or 1/4 miles times. Its nice to hear it feels good to drive but I put my faith in cold hard numbers

60-130 comparison's are more accurate but going to be hard to find someone with a F10 to do it. This isn't the 3 series crowd lol

that's what I want to know. I also need to check with Terry since i just got a new software update from BMW so I'm not sure if that will be a factor with Stage 2?? If anyone cares to know, bmw does have a full software update to disable the ASS (auto start/stop) base on last setting.

Tune update. I took my car on a 700 mile road trip through the 110 degree weather to vegas down to havasu and back to oc and the car went as smooth as ever. Not a hiccup what so ever so I can safely say that the tune is reliable and that I'm happy with it.

so bb2405, would you say stage 2 has noticeable performance differences compared to stage 1? Off line line as well as in motion acceleration?
