So i have the half display cluster in my car as my car was made 04/10. Is it possible to put the full display in my car? Meaning the one with does the whole bottom half of the cluster?

Just like The X men said, if you're going through the hassle you might as well go all out and get the all digital display. Here's a link to one: http://www.bimmer-tech.net/shop/bmw-...panel-retrofit

Of course, it's just another piece of electronics. But if you're going to do that, then you might as well change your iDrive system too
Save your $10k for something else or just buy a newer 5. FYI - I don't recommend this in the US because it's not worth the cost. You simply just buy/lease a newer car. However, those guys in places like Singapore, Hong Kong, etc...where a 550 cost about $450k USD, forking over $10k to update the electronics is logical. That's why it's popular in Europe and rich Asian countries. |
