KW V3 EDC Delete issue at dealer

So I took my car in for service the other day and they were doing a software update related to a recall they had on the key fob. They called me to say they were not able to do the update because of an issue with the suspension. Apparently when they do an update, all of the control modules in the car get checked and when it came to the suspension, it could not get past the edc delete.

The dealer told me that in order to fix, I would need to put the old suspension on the car so that it could check those modules and run its process.

I called KW and they told me that I probably needed to put the old suspension on to get the update then switch back after. They also told me they had never heard of it.

Here is the report from the dealer. I'm hoping one of you guys might have a clue for how to get around this. I'm don't really care about an update for the key fob but if I have an issue down the road that needs a software update, i'm basically f'd...

Could the EDC be coded off the VO?

You could just bring your shocks with you to the dealer and have them just plug it into the stock sensors to perform the update without actually installing the suspension. It all depends if the dealer is willing to do that for you or not.
