I purchased a gloss back grille set from someone on marketplace and after hassling with the clips on the existing one to get it removed, I was unfortunately surprised when the gloss black one did not align properly. The seller assured me that it is an F10 grille and he had it on his 2016 535i m-sport.

My car is a 2013 535i non-m and I read on various threads that pre-lci, lci, m-sport, and non-m sport grilles were the same. Can someone please confirm if that is the case? See picture below, the original oem grille that was on my car is on the bottom.

In my experience, the cheaper ones tend to not fit well. There shouldn’t be a difference amongst the F10 variants, not as far as I know. But either way, the gloss black grille that you have shown in your photo does not even look like an F10 grille. At least not to me.

They are the same shape for all years regardless if it’s M sport or not. The grille you bought it for a different car for sure. You might see some stamps on the back of it indicating which model it’s for or a part number

Those are 100% different in size. not even close. The ones you bought are for sure smaller so I would assume they are for a 3 series or any series smaller than a 5 series. I would suggest you find out which car they do fit and re-post for sale

Appreciate the responses. The seller from marketplace ended up refunding me but did say again that he was sure they are from an F10, which makes no sense.

eBay grilles nearly always have a poor fit, but your one looks a lot different and definitely shorter. Glad you got a refund!
