If you can afford it I would recomend the head up display and the adaptive cruise control. Both 'gadgets' are really good and I would want to spec another bmw without them
I've not got lane departure warning myself so can't comment as such but perhaps drop that to help twards hud and acc?
I've got climate comfort windscreen and in retrospect would not order again personally

Thanks for input,

Head up display is part of pro media plus
Had thought about the adaptive cruise, but seems like a lot of money for something that will use very rarely, couldn't find a demo car with it on, Jag has a similar thing but it gets caught out quite a bit so I never use it. The lane departure has saved a few near misses before so I do value that. The comfort windscreen have had both with and without and it does seem to take the burn of in heavy sun... But then again for 2 days a year you may have a point.

yeh finding a car with acc on will probably be quite difficult, BMW UK might well hve one but ,ight take time to organize and soudns like you don'#t have much time before your order is frozen.

I personaly think acc is great for motorways ,if you in heavy traffix on motoways it takes a lot of effort out of the drive. You basically end up just steering. Only real issue with it is if someone cuts you up in which case teh car will break quite heavily to keeps its distance.
It working as designed but reacts in those circumstances perhaps different than if you driving yourself.
Its graet for stop and go traffix as well, it'll bring you to a complete stop and if stopped for more than about 3-4 seconds, you justtouch teh gas or the adjustment dial on the left of teh sterring wheeel and off it goes again.
It will also stop if everthing is stoped up ahead, only yesterday travelling at around 60 mph when everthing up ahead had stopped to 'rubber neck' an accident on the otherside of the carriageway ,for a moment I thought about manually intervening but there was no need and the car applied the brakes.

Its not really for use off the motorways and it will get caught out on say roundaboutds when a car in front will disapear off the radar, your car will thnk its clear and ahead and try to accelerate you back towards your chosen speed.

Its not a cheap option butone I have no regrests having ordered.

I agree with this. I would never buy a car without the adaptive cruise control again. Not without HUD either.

Built and on its way !!!

Looked on dealers system today and wow its actually been built and has left Factory... Just hope the spec is right and has the latest additions as promised, bit nervous due to confusion discussed elsewhere re new SatNav etc...

They reckon I will get it before the end of the month

Picked it up..

Picked it up yesterday...

Absolutely made up, car feels so solid, the new Sat Nav Pro Plus is the business... Had worried about interior color and trim combo but it works very well.

Just need to get Apple / BMW to get the integration sorted properly for messages.

The Adaptive/dynamic suspension is great, the ride and handling feel just spot on even with 19" & Runflats.

Looking forward to spending time getting to know the car.
